About us

The story begins when the Jazz Association Nefertiti started the jazz club Nefertiti in 1978.
On various stages, mainly jazz has been presented - both traditional and contemporary, but also world music, hip-hop, r'n b, soul, blues and electronic music - over 8,000!!! concerts.

From 2021 onwards, the concept "Jazzklubben Nefertiti" has mainly been run from a new stage at Valand and since 2022 produced by the non-profit association Jazz&Potatis (potato).
In 2024, the Jazz Club changed its name to Playhouse.

Altogether, the jazz club's program includes around 100 concerts per year.
The Jazz and Potato Association strives to always present an exciting program that both feels safe and recognizable but at the same time innovative and enticing.
